Placitas is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sandoval County, New Mexico. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 3,452.

to Albuquerque. You will find hiking trails, perfect weather and four distinct seasons without harsh
extremes.
Placitas offers magnificent views. Many homes look north toward the hills and mesas,
all the way to the Jemez range and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains north of Santa Fe.
